Neste contexto, os eixos de transmiss\u00e3o devem tamb\u00e9m compensar as varia\u00e7\u00f5es de \u00e2ngulo e comprimento resultantes dos movimentos da dire\u00e7\u00e3o ou da suspens\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<h2>Como funciona um eixo de transmiss\u00e3o?<\/h2>\n<p>Um eixo de transmiss\u00e3o tem um chamado munh\u00e3o de eixo no lado da roda, com a ajuda do qual est\u00e1 ligado ao eixo da roda ou ao <a href=\"\/produtos\/cubos-de-roda-11522\/\">cubo da roda<\/a>. Tamb\u00e9m do lado da roda existe uma junta esf\u00e9rica que permite que o suporte da roda se mova em todas as direc\u00e7\u00f5es, mesmo que a roda e o eixo de transmiss\u00e3o rodem ao mesmo tempo. O objetivo da junta esf\u00e9rica \u00e9 torn\u00e1-los flex\u00edveis para os movimentos de dire\u00e7\u00e3o, permitindo simultaneamente a transfer\u00eancia de pot\u00eancia da caixa de velocidades para a roda. Do outro lado do eixo de transmiss\u00e3o, oposto \u00e0 caixa de velocidades, encontra-se a chamada junta de trip\u00e9 ou junta de velocidade constante.<\/p>\n<p>A junta de velocidade constante assegura um movimento de rota\u00e7\u00e3o uniforme, compensando simultaneamente os movimentos da suspens\u00e3o do ve\u00edculo. Nos ve\u00edculos com tra\u00e7\u00e3o traseira, estas juntas s\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m utilizadas nos veios de transmiss\u00e3o. Alguns ve\u00edculos t\u00eam eixos m\u00f3veis para compensar as diferen\u00e7as de conce\u00e7\u00e3o. Estes eixos designa-se por eixos cardan. As juntas devem ser protegidas da sujidade e da humidade e lubrificadas com massa. Por isso, s\u00e3o cobertas com mangas de borracha flex\u00edveis que mant\u00eam a sujidade e a humidade afastadas das juntas, impedindo a sa\u00edda de massa lubrificante e a secagem das juntas.<\/p>\n<h2>Os eixos de transmiss\u00e3o t\u00eam de suportar cargas elevadas<\/h2>\n<p>Toda a pot\u00eancia de acionamento \u00e9 transmitida \u00e0s rodas atrav\u00e9s dos eixos de acionamento. Por isso, est\u00e3o expostos a cargas muito elevadas durante a condu\u00e7\u00e3o. No entanto, os eixos de transmiss\u00e3o s\u00e3o concebidos para durar toda a vida \u00fatil do autom\u00f3vel. S\u00f3 raramente uma \u00e1rvore de transmiss\u00e3o se parte durante a condu\u00e7\u00e3o. Normalmente, os componentes de uma \u00e1rvore de transmiss\u00e3o s\u00e3o muito robustos e isentos de manuten\u00e7\u00e3o, podendo suportar mais de 100.000 quil\u00f3metros.<\/p>\n<div
