Os condutores n\u00e3o podem ligar ou desligar a tra\u00e7\u00e3o. O elemento chave da tra\u00e7\u00e3o integral 4MATIC \u00e9 um diferencial central, que \u00e9 utilizado para transferir a pot\u00eancia do motor para as rodas dianteiras e traseiras. Com exce\u00e7\u00e3o dos ve\u00edculos da s\u00e9rie GL, a engrenagem do diferencial \u00e9 uma caixa de velocidades planet\u00e1ria de uma fase. Esta vers\u00e3o do 4MATIC est\u00e1 instalada nas s\u00e9ries CLA, GLA e GLC dos modelos Classe A e Classe B. Com este sistema de tra\u00e7\u00e3o integral, o torque excessivo do motor nas rodas dianteiras \u00e9 transferido para as rodas traseiras. Esta transfer\u00eancia \u00e9 efectuada conforme necess\u00e1rio. Isto significa que o torque n\u00e3o \u00e9 redistribu\u00eddo das rodas dianteiras para as rodas traseiras numa propor\u00e7\u00e3o espec\u00edfica. Nesta vers\u00e3o do 4MATIC, o torque \u00e9 distribu\u00eddo para os eixos dianteiro e traseiro numa rela\u00e7\u00e3o espec\u00edfica e n\u00e3o vari\u00e1vel. A rela\u00e7\u00e3o de distribui\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 de 45:55, com o eixo dianteiro a receber sempre 45% do torque e o eixo traseiro 55%. De acordo com a Mercedes, a vantagem desta distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de torque \u00e9 que os ve\u00edculos t\u00eam uma elevada estabilidade de condu\u00e7\u00e3o e uma tra\u00e7\u00e3o muito boa em todos os momentos. Gra\u00e7as \u00e0 distribui\u00e7\u00e3o constante do torque, os ve\u00edculos Mercedes destas classes s\u00e3o muito est\u00e1veis mesmo em curvas apertadas, a altas velocidades e em todas as condi\u00e7\u00f5es climat\u00e9ricas.<\/p>\n<p>Os SUVs Mercedes-Benz das s\u00e9ries GLE e GLS est\u00e3o equipados com um sistema de torque sob demanda ou tra\u00e7\u00e3o integral permanente, dependendo da pot\u00eancia do motor. Dependendo do motor, os compradores podem escolher entre a tra\u00e7\u00e3o integral permanente e o torque sob demanda. No entanto, o sistema de torque a pedido s\u00f3 \u00e9 utilizado nos modelos com um motor de 6 cilindros e nos h\u00edbridos plug-in. Nestes modelos de ve\u00edculos, o bin\u00e1rio pode ser distribu\u00eddo entre os eixos traseiro e dianteiro numa gama de 0 a 100 %.<\/p>\n<h2>Tra\u00e7\u00e3o integral Mercedes 4MATIC no Classe G<\/h2>\n<p>Introduzido em 1979, o todo-o-terreno da s\u00e9rie 460 foi o primeiro ve\u00edculo Mercedes-Benz com tra\u00e7\u00e3o integral. No entanto, na altura, a tecnologia era diferente. Os actuais modelos G s\u00e3o fornecidos com tra\u00e7\u00e3o integral permanente com uma distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de bin\u00e1rio fixa de 40 a 60 entre os eixos dianteiro e traseiro. Estes ve\u00edculos tamb\u00e9m possuem o chamado sistema de 3 bloqueios. Este sistema envolve 3 bloqueios de diferencial puramente mec\u00e2nicos, que podem ser accionados individualmente. Os diferenciais de deslizamento limitado atingem um efeito de bloqueio m\u00e1ximo de 100 %. Este sistema \u00e9 particularmente vantajoso em diferentes tipos de superf\u00edcies de estrada escorregadias e em curvas r\u00e1pidas e apertadas. Em curvas apertadas, a carga \u00e9 sempre retirada das rodas no interior da curva.
